Direct Care - Therapy Services
Prosperity Mental Health & Wellness is a direct primary care practice. This means I work directly with you, without the interference of a third party. I get it, insurance is expensive and you want to be able to use it. However, there are many benefits to a direct care model that you can't get with all the red tape that comes with third party payers. Thus, I do not bill or accept insurance. Here is why direct care may be advantageous to you:
Therapeutic Care That Is Actually In Your Best Interest.
With billing insurance comes care dictated by insurance. There is a lot of red tape, restriction, and denials that accompany use of insurance, which can be contradictive to your needs. For example, some insurance companies only allow certain types of therapies, only allow you to work on certain types of concerns, and dictate the number of sessions they will cover, not leaving room for a more holistic care that is able to envelop all of the nuances of life. There are many individuals who are struggling, but don't quite meet criteria for a mental health diagnosis. If insurance is billed, a diagnosis is required. Thus, your provider must make the choice to decline care paid by insurance, or to label you with a diagnosis that is not warranted or necessary. Self-pay cuts through the restrictions of insurance and allows for a truly customized care, dictated by the client and provider, to determine the most effective and holistic treatment for each and every individual.
Improved Confidentiality.
If insurance is billed, you will have to sign an ROI (release of information) to your insurance company. What this means, is that insurance requires the provider to send them clinical information such as diagnosis and session notes for each service billed. Thus, your personal health information is released to the eyes of several insurance employees. A diagnostic label (that may or may not have been warranted) is now part of your health and insurance record. If you have seen more than one therapist, each one will be required to diagnose for care. This can lead to a laundry list of diagnoses in the hands of your insurance, which may not even reflect the most up-to-date description of your concerns. Self-pay clients can be reassured that their confidential information actually stays between them and their therapist.
Access to Care
There is currently a high demand for services with availability of clinicians in short supply. This model allows for more flexibility in scheduling, quicker scheduling times, and appointments not dictated by time constraints.
Payment Options
I never want payment to be the reason someone is unable to receive the care they need. Thus, there are several payment options. Let's find the one that best suits your needs! Plans are designated for therapy services only and do not apply to sleep consultation services. Please call, text, or email for pricing on each plan.
Free Consultation
It is important to find a therapist that is a good fit for you. The therapeutic relationship is vital to the success of therapy. The direct service membership model is also a little different. Setting up a consultation free of charge allows us to meet and see if it's a good fit. It also gives me the opportunity to explain how the services work, provide pricing, discuss next steps, and answer any questions you might have, all with no risk or commitment from you.
Memberships
I offer various membership options based on your level of need for support/care.
Nurture Plan- With this monthly membership plan you have access to up to four sessions per month (weekly sessions), text support during business hours, and the option of in-home visits (some restrictions apply).
Inspire Plan- With this monthly membership plan you have access to up to four sessions per month (weekly sessions). Contact with your provider is primarily limited to in-session time.
Empower Plan- With this monthly membership plan you have access to up to two sessions per month (bi-weekly sessions). Contact with you provider is primarily limited to in-session time.
Vitality Plan - In our time together you have become strong and active in implementing healthful practices into your life, but still may need a booster session, check-ins, and support from time to time. With this monthly membership plan you have access to text support and quickly scheduled booster sessions as needed. This package is only available to individuals who have completed their treatment plan and are in a maintenance phase.
Pay Per Session
If a membership plan does not sound like the right fit for you, I do offer a pay per session option.
Admission/Second Opinion
Each individual is required to complete an admission. This is a 90-120 minute session that allows me to gather all of the information I need to develop a treatment plan that is suited to your needs. In this session we will also develop goals for treatment and identify level of care needed for your specific concerns.
